The “Skills on Demand” project aimed to promote employment among vulnerable unemployed residents of Athens through awareness-raising, training and certification, individualized psychosocial and employability support, and job placement. The primary objective was to increase employment opportunities for recently unemployed individuals.
The project was successfully completed in April 2024. Despite facing challenges throughout most of its duration, ADDMA achieved significant milestones, strengthening the employment capacity of vulnerable populations, developing a set of training materials and ICT tools, and acquiring valuable expertise throughout the implementation period.
Key achievements:
1. Individualized employment support and training:
– 159 beneficiaries registered on the online platform with full access to project services.
– 143 individuals received consulting support, with the majority (131) from Greece and the rest from various other countries.
– 138 beneficiaries participated in online training, with 48 completing the training program.
– 38 beneficiaries participated in certification examinations, and 25 successfully passed.
2. Development of a Modular Advanced Information and Training System:
A fully modular system was developed, incorporating the project website, counseling services, and an e-learning platform. ADDMA continues to maintain the online system, ensuring its usability for future initiatives.
3. Production of training courses:
Fifteen (15) training courses were developed and made publicly available through the Information and Training System. The platform also hosts two additional training courses from other European-funded projects, enhancing the project’s sustainability.
The “Skills on Demand” project has established a solid groundwork for upcoming employment initiatives and continues to serve as a vital resource for individuals pursuing professional growth and assistance.
