The project will promote the employment of vulnerable unemployed residents of the city of Athens through awareness raising, training and certification, individualized psychosocial and employability support and job placement. The main objective of the project is increased employment among recently unemployed people. The implementation will begin in 2021.
The expected outcome of the project is the promotion of unemployed people to employment through the provision of a range of services that includes awareness raising, training and certification, individualized psychosocial and employability support and job placement of unemployed beneficiaries who participate in the project. In total, one thousand vulnerable people are expected to be benefited from the action through their participation in certified trainings and accessing psychosocial and employability support services, provided by the Municipality of Athens. A labour market needs assessment will create the basis on which the development of training curriculum will be based on. In addition, approximately 500 local businesses are expected to be engaged to the project for the establishment of a network of local businesses with identified skills needs.
